Screw Compactor
Screw auger compactors can double your tonnages, halve transport costs and cut maintenance bills when compared to conventional compactors. By deforming the waste before pushing it into the container, without shredding it, a screw (auger) compactor will maximise the space and increase the density.
-
A screw compactor is a waste compaction machine that uses a rotating screw mechanism to compress waste efficiently. Waste is fed into the hopper, where the screw continuously moves it forward while applying pressure, significantly reducing its volume before discharging it into a container or bag. Unlike hydraulic compactors, screw compactors operate continuously without stopping for compression cycles, making them highly efficient and energy-saving.

Why Choose A Screw Compactor?
The flexibility of the Screw Compactor allows for multiple bespoke designs, whether you need it to be ground, loaded, bin lifter options and open or enclosed hoppers.

No cleaning out behind the press head: conventional compactors with a flat press head allow material to slide around the edge and under the ram face into the space behind.

Bespoke motors can be provided for various waste streams, the 11kW motor is adequate for dry recyclables but larger motors up to 22kW will be suitable for bulkier waste.
