A smooth, efficient installation starts with the site survey before the machine is ordered, to make sure:

Accessories and features

It is the right machine for your needs: the right throughput and loading requirements.
Access: for delivery vehicles and operations once the machine is in place. This includes operational and off-loading heights.
Power is available and sufficient to run the machinery.
Bergmann Direct will supply any Risk Assessments and Method Statements you require. Normally, these are generic but we will provide site-specific ones if the site is unusual.
Transport: we take care of the transport of the machinery from the factory to your premises. We choose the right vehicle for the machine and handle all the details. This could be as simple as a delivery on a tail-lift delivery lorry, to a HIAB crane vehicle, to a flatbed truck or a low-loader. We handle the ferry crossings if importing from Europe or delivering to an island.

Accessories and features

Off-loading and positioning: we choose the right type of vehicle to get the machine in place: sometimes this will require skates and a fork truck if there is not enough height within the building. Typically we deliver on a HIAB lorry but we may deliver a roll-on-off compactor into your waste contractor for them to deliver to your premises. If you require slinger and HIAB operator certificates we can provide them.
Installation and Commissioning: once in place, our manufacturer-trained engineers will assemble any parts delivered separately (hoppers typically), connect to the power, fill with hydraulic oil (if transported empty) and test your new machine on your waste and recyclables.
Training: we will then be ready to train your operators and hand over the machine to you.
