Local Authority chooses Bergmann Roll Packers and Compactors
In March 2023, a Council managing multiple Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC) made a decision to invest in 3 x Bergmann RP7700 Static Roll Packers and 8 x APB 1620 Portable Compactors to help manage their waste streams across 4 different sites.
The Bergmann Static Roll Packer is a state-of-the-art machine designed to compact large volumes of waste into an open container, reducing the amount of space needed for storage and transportation. With its advanced compaction system, the Roll Packer can reduce the volume of waste by up to 80%, significantly reducing the number of trips required for waste disposal. Additionally, the machine is built to handle a wide range of waste materials, including bulky items such as furniture, wood, and metal, making it a versatile solution for waste management. In addition, the local authority made the decision to choose the new Electric Roll Packer with the benefits of reducing their energy consumption and a lower operating noise.
The APB 1620 compactor, on the other hand, is designed to compact smaller volumes of waste, such as cardboard, plastic, and paper. These machines are dock loaded with higher sides for the public to drop waste directly into the hopper, a remote is mounted in a lockable control panel on the dock for operatives to use.
By investing in these machines, the local authority was able to significantly reduce the amount of space required for waste storage and transportation, which translated into significant cost savings. Moreover, the machines allowed for the segregation and recycling of a wide range of materials, which helped to reduce the environmental impact of waste disposal.
Bergmann Direct Ltd have supplied local authority, City Council’s and County Council’s hundreds of machines in the past 25 years. Whether it be our Roll Packer in the form of a Static, Traversing or Mobile version or the Portable Compactor Range for wet waste or dry mixed recycling.
